Meridian Zero is an international restaurant, located in the heart of Oradea, the Art Nouveau capital, more specifically in Oradea Fortress. As a geographic landmark of the world, the prime meridian, was converted in a mark of gastronomic orientation in Oradea. For 200 years, the prime meridian drew the imaginary line of reference in Oradea Fortress, the oldest medieval fortress in Central Europe. Therefore, a few centuries apart, we decided to inaugurate a top restaurant, to remind of history files, which also to raise the standards of hospitality in Oradea. The Meridian Zero Restaurant is specialized in international European cuisine, becoming a place of interest for private events, such as weddings or baptisms parties. The grooms have the possibility to offer their guests sophisticated food dishes and well-chosen drinks, in order to present a personalized note and uniqueness to the event. From desire to provide premium dishes, the manager of the restaurant focuses his attention to kitchen personnel, as well as to the rest of the staff, offering in this way associations of food dishes with carefully-made drinks to outstand its hospitality. Practically, its purpose is to create exclusive experiences for the ones who cross the threshold of the Oradea Fortress’ Restaurant. The Meridian Zero Restaurant is organized in this way: 120 seats in the restaurant’s interior in its 2 rooms, 60 seats on the main terrace in the front of the restaurant, 24 seats next to the barrels, face-to-face to the central terrace. Periodically, private and diverse events are held inside the Meridian Zero Restaurant, meant to extend the pattern regarding culinar education to Oradea’s citizens, through the Center of Taste’s Culture and Civilization and Millesime Association. Wine-tasting events, themed nights or other private events offer customers the lucky chance to endeavour top food dishes, attentively prepared by head chefs of the Meridian Zero Restaurant.
